Ooh looky looky–I’m not too good to post. Seriously though, things have been busy enough in my ‘real life’ that during any fleeting moments of free time I feel a little like I’m trapped in the eye of a really big storm, just catching my breath and waiting for the next onslaught.
Some quick highlights of the past two weeks–
*My husband has been traveling quite a bit for work, so this means that I am playing single parent. This also means that dinner (for me) can and will consist of microwave popcorn, a hard boiled egg and a glass of orange juice. Yay for balanced eating.
*There IS light at the end of the tunnel. After a rough week where I just totally caved and Owen slept with me pretty much every night because I was just too tired to be loving and consistent…he has spent the past two nights in his crib (without tears) sleeping the entire night away with nary a wake up or even a peep. Hopefully I have not now jinxed this blessed occurence by mentioning it here.
*I think I’m going to be brave and put in a garden this summer. So when I’m bored at work (read=boring weekly conference call that I have to sit through and I never get anything out of) I am totally planning out my little backyard garden; what I’m going to grow, my dimensions and layout and how I’m going to keep the wild rabbits that live in our backyard out of it.
We also had our first swimming lesson, the boy and I, and let’s just say that a swimming suit (even a modestly cut tankini) is not my best outfit currently. How can I be under the weight (by seven pounds) I started out at when pregnant and still look so much more terrible in a bathing suit? Curse you post-partum body. Although, post-partum nursing chest? You may stay as this is the most I’ve ever filled out my swimsuit top. Where were you when I was 15?!!!

Swistle says:
Post-partum body is SO UNFAIR.
Chest is good, though. I kind of forgot it didn’t belong to me, until I stopped nursing the twins and got my old chest back.
