It’s time for the Bloggy Carnival!

    July 28, 2008

Bloggy Giveaways!Hopefully you have all heard of the Bloggy Giveaways. If not, this is your chance–go on over and check out what they have going on. Usually, a particular company/individual is spotlighted on a daily basis, with various random commenters able to win a prize. Additionally, once a quarter, there is the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival where all kinds of blogs enter with various prizes and neato things you can win.

Why am I telling you all this? Well, it’s simple really–I’m giving away prizes too! I’m giving away two (2) blog customizations (this includes customization of your existing blog design with new banner, up to 5 sidebar title customizations, code clean up, color scheming, and favicon) which are valued at $90/each. Don’t have a blog? If that’s the case, I’ll set up your basic blog configuration at Blogger (free) or if you pay to host your own blog (like with Wordpress or Typepad) set up your blog there, and a customization of your current blog theme as described above-a value of $130.

What do you have to do to have a shot at winning one of these fabulous prizes?

All you need to do is to leave a comment here telling me why you need a spruce up at your blog (or if you don’t have a blog, why you need to have a blog :) ).

You have until 12 Noon EST (Eastern Standard Time) August 1st, with winners to be announced later that afternoon.

    So–get to commenting!

I’m dragging my feet starting a blog. I have three pages of ideas of things to write about. It’s the design that intimidates me, and I’d love the jumpstart of having someone design it!

I would love, love, LOVE a customized blog! I’m horrible with HTML, and have just managed to fudge with a free design enough to make it look not generic – I’d love something a bit more custom! Thanks! Great giveaway!

I started blogging a few months ago, and it’s turned out to be a great hobby. Now, I am looking to go a bit farther with it, and turn it into a part time income. But I’m still using a stock blog. I would love something unique!

My blog is functional which means I can put words up and that’s it. No bloggity savviness over here. I need a do-over much less a make-over. I’m also wanting to start another blog.

I need a blog, everyone tells me so. I always have these unreal and crazy stories about how our family has been blessed. I love to share, well ok, I love to talk! I always have too much to say. So, why not say it in a blog!

I have had a blog for a little over a year, but it’s not much more than pictures of my kids for family and friends. I would like to make it more than that and begin to reach out to other bloggers or people out there, and maybe make some money doing it…who knows. Your help with design would be priceless!

Thanks for the giveaway, I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

    28. Leah says:

My blog needs a make over because 1) It doesn’t show who I am. It’s pretty boring and well, very white. 2) Because the layout has technical issues I do not know how to fix! The pictures will not align correctly within posts unless it’s centered with no text around it. Very, truly, annoying.

      Thanks for the opportunity :-)

I’ve longed for a cute, unique blog, but have no bloggy budget, alas. I’ve been messing about with different free sites and have some garbled, icky code going on now, so I’ve sworn off messing with the code any further as I know juuuuust enough to be very dangerous to my poor, little blog!

So, the chance for a blog makeover and code clean-up? Heavenly! Thanks for the chance to win!

      Cheers!

I’m chuckling as I’m about to write my “story”.

I was very fortunate to have someone design my recipe blog for me. I love her work and think she did an awesome job.

My other two blogs are Blogger templates.

So, I actually had someone email me and tell me that my parenting blog is ugly. Yes, ugly and why can’t I make it pretty like my recipe one.

I laughed so hard. Here I worked so hard to customize the template blogger to best of my limited skills and I was told it’s ugly.

So, I need to win so that I prevent future “it’s ugly” comments LOL.

OMG I so need a blog makeover. My techie genius children don’t blog so left me to figure it on my own and I am stuck with not only a template but a BORING template.
The head dictator of the loonyverse should NOT be boring in any way shape or form but seeing as no one is beating down my messengers or inbox with pleas for computer help, a blog makeover is not going to happen anytime soon if left to my own devices.
Please please please consider my blog. I’ll make you one of my royal subjects and everything.
Hehe oh, and if you get a chance to see what I mean about the pathetic boringness of my blog make sure to check out the $50 Amazon GC and Back to School giveaways.

I currently have no blog but really should set one up since my family is spread out across the country and don’t see my girls much.

I have quite a boring blog as I have no creative ability whatsoever. I’m currently using a standard blogger template. Sad, huh?

I am trying to grow my new photography business. I use my blog to advertise and spread the word…so it needs to look professional. It’s boring now.

      I love your look!
      Thanks for the opprotunity!

I have tried VALIANTLY (and pathetically) to pretty up my blog on my own, and have FAILED, LOL. At the moment I have an all-white job and a stick figure header! I would love one of those cute customised designs around the place but I just can’t justify spending so much money when at the moment, my blog is actually functional (at least) LOL.

Wonderful idea for a giveaway and thanks for hosting!

      Cheers,
