    eh?

    November 1, 2007

We had absolutely no trick-or-treaters tonight.  This means that a) I am glad I did not buy a ton of candy (I kind of anticipated since our turn-out last year was a grand total of 3) and b) all the mini snickers are MINE.

Also, and you’ll just have to visualize this in your head as I just went out at 10:56pm to try to get a picture so that I could have actual documented footage and have it be late enough that I would be inconspicuous but they’ve already turned them off for the night, but some of our neighbors are apparently either a bit confused or just nuts.  Why?  Because as I was headed to bed last night, the night before Halloween, I happened to notice out our front window that these particular neighbors (and thankfully it isn’t either of our next door neighbors) had some flashing lights on their lawn.  Upon closer inspection, they turned out to be really bright flashing Christmas light decorations.  Plugged in and out flashing away on the lawn.  In October.  Right before Halloween.  Say it with me now, WHAT.THE.HECK.

I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but as we drove by their house this afternoon, they had some additional Christmas related decoration displayed prominently in their front window as well.

I’m all for Christmas and I really do like Christmas decorations and will probably be pulling all our Christmas stuff out the day after Thanksgiving.  I just think the night before Halloween is pushing it a little bit.
