    Just imagine the orange cones

    October 17, 2007

You might notice that things are looking a little…different. Please pardon the ug-oh new look while I navigate/move to my new digs. I’m having some unexpected problems moving my archives, so I’m hoping to be all moved and have you automatically re-directed by the end of the week.   All fixed, imported and moved.  You are now hopefully reading this at my new home!

Time for some serious fence sitting

    October 12, 2007

I’m writing yet again this week because I’m practicing some heavy duty homework avoidance and even though I’m so sleepy I’m not quite ready for bed just yet. The homework isn’t hard per se–just running some queries for my “Everything you ever wanted to know about databases and even some stuff you didn’t thrown in for good measure” class. I’m taking two classes this semester, the database one and one on Software design, and even though they’re both required for the Design degree I’m working toward I’m not that enthused about either. The Database class isn’t so bad; just tedious. Software design though–well, let’s just say that I am so very glad that my job and any future jobs that I might have would not require me to design software. Heck, I’d even rather face 10 massive blowout-what-on-earth-have-you-been-eating-and-why-does-it-smell-like-that diapers right in a row rather than work on homework for Software design. Luckily we’re already at the mid-point of the semester, so I’ve only got eight torturous more weeks to go. Then it’s buh-bye sucky Software Design.

So I can’t decide if I’m doing the whole NaBloPoMo thing this year or not. It was fun last year and I actually made it through the whole month, but in retrospect there were alot of veddy veddy super lame-o posts that shouldn’t have counted for a days posting. Hmm…maybe I’ll pick a theme for the whole month, just to make it an actual challenge and perhaps a little more read-worthy. I need to think on this a little more before I finally decide. One thing is for certain though–I am going to be moving from here at Blogger to Wordpress pretty soon in the near future. If I do the NaBloPoMo thing, I’ll have everything moved, set up and ready to go before November starts, just to avoid confusion mid-stream. If I don’t do NaBloPoMo, I’m still moving and hopefully it will still occur before November. If I have set up everything correctly, you won’t have to do anything different–you’ll just be re-directed to the new place (www.youmeandababy.com) which is still very much a work in progress.

Okay, enough randomness for now. My bathtub and bed call and I cannot ignore their siren song any longer.

We have some lovely parting gifts…

    April 3, 2007

Thanks to all who responded–I have my 5 guinea pigs wonderful bloggers who are brave enough to let me re-design their blog. I have emailed all re-design bloggers–so if you’re in, you’ll have an email from me.

If you meant to email me and didn’t get it sent in time–don’t fret. I like the idea of a contest, so keep your eyes peeled for future chances (like for a custom banner-rotating header–who DOESN’T want one of those?!!).

In other news, I think we’re slipping down the Klassy ladder here at casa youmeandababy (that’s Klassy with a ‘K’)–not quite to unworking car up on cinderblocks in the front yard kind of Klassy, but close. It has once again gotten warm here–low 80’s. Owen looked warm and uncomfortable, so I’ve kept him stripped down to just his diaper all afternoon. Which would be fine, except that we like to sit on the front porch and stick our feet in the grass and watch the traffic drive on by (we live on a semi-busy street). At least I’m not out there in my housecoat and curlers.
