Trying to explain why Adobe is currently chapping my hide would be long and involved and probably none too interesting. The short attention span version? Expensive software should work correctly upon initial install. Always. The End.
Luckily, from reading the super confusing and labrynth-esque Adobe website, it appears that I will be able to get complimentary tech support since I haven’t even been able to make my programs run after they are installed, not having to add insult to injury by having to pay additionally for tech support on top of having had to pay for my (currently) non-functioning programs. Usually I can figure out what the problem is or research a solution or work-around online, but this time, even the little that I can find isn’t at all helpful. I am trying not to worry too much because I really don’t need grey hairs 21, 22, and 23 popping up from this.
Speaking of grey hair, can we talk about how I have discovered that at the tender age of 30 and 1/2 years, I have a fairly good-sized grey streaked patch of hair growing in? I know it was totally from being pregnant (I’m already planning future guilt trips for the boy) because it has slyly grown in with the replacement hair in one of the two spots where I went bald about three months after Owen was born (oh, the things no one tells you about the joys of your body and how it will totally betray you after you have a baby). Highlighting seems to have hidden it for the time being–I’m just worried that I’ll discover my (relatively) small patch of grey has tripled in size when it’s time to touch up the highlights in another couple of months. At least the mass exodus of hair which resulted in the oh-so-sexy and not at all making-me-feel-frumpy bald patches finally seemed to stop about a month ago. Knocking on wood that at least I don’t currently suffer from hot flashes.
